As the successful candidate you will work on industry leading software development products that thousands of other software developers rely on to get their job done daily. Best of all the full product team are based in the Galway office so you'll get to work with all the various functions involved in software application development.

Responsibilities

Work within a collaborative team of developers, testers, UX designers, QA. and product owners.
- Implement new functionality in close cooperation with the stakeholders
- Write performance optimized code to service both 3rd party and company's front end applications
- Engage in peer design and code reviews
- Maintain test coverage

Qualifications

- 3+ years of Java development experience.
- Solid understanding of object oriented programming and writing maintainable code.
- Experience in modern version control systems such as Git & GitHub.
- Experience designing and consuming web services (REST and SOAP APIs).
- Experience with RDBMS (E.g. Postgres) - schema / query design & implementation.
- Knowledge of design patterns and performance best practices.
- Agile development team experience.

Desirable

Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
- Experience with NoSQL Databases (eg. MongoDB)
