JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a DevOps Architect to bring in Cloud and DevOps solution design experience to the Cloud DevOps team catering to SaaS and PaaS cloud offerings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deliver DevOps Consulting Solutions to cloud and on-premise
- implementations
- Provide technical leadership across all areas of the build, release and operations, to ensure delivery of exceptional DevOps technical solutions
- Have at least a broad understanding of technology, process, people, and practice for:
- Agile / scrum methods
- Build and release management
- Infrastructure strategy and operations
- Operations service delivery and support
- IT organizational structure and responsibilities
- Business continuity
- Security
Technical knowledge
Strong technical foundation in (most of the following tools):
- Agile Tools (Rally, Jira, Version One, etc.)
- Linux and/or Windows
- Virtualization (VMWare, Xen, KVM, VirtualBox, etc.)
- Cloud Computing (AWS, Google App Engine, Rackspace Cloud, etc.)
- Infrastructure Automation (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
- Build Tools (Ant, NAnt, MSBuild, Rake, GNU Make, etc.)
- Continuous Integration Tools (Jenkins, Cruise, TeamCity, Hudson, etc.)
- SCM Tools (SVN, Git, Perforce, Mercurial, etc.)
- Scripting Languages (Shell, Ruby/JRuby, Perl, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Application Servers, servlet containers, and web servers (WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.
- AWS certifications
