To accelerate their growth and ability to deliver on this mission they are now opening a substantial Software R&D facility in Galway, which will create huge opportunities for you to build complex software solutions that will make a real difference in the provision of healthcare services. As this is a greenfield site, you’ll have massive opportunities to grow and develop as they continue to hire and expand the facility.

Right now they require Software Engineering Managers


  • Manage a team of engineers developing readable, well-tested applications, APIs, and libraries
  • Develop and maintain a strong engineering culture within the team, in both technical and social components
  • Ensure the delivery of technology initiatives through design to iterative development phases
  • Establish clear requirements for engineering projects in coordination with a Product Manager
  • Evaluate engineering design proposals in a technical capacity
  • Evaluate and develop the technical performance of individual contributors
  • Guide engineers through their career progression and personal growth
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Uphold engineering standards in terms of software and systems quality and performance


  • 5+ years of direct people management experience is essential
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience with cloud-based systems
  • Broad experience developing high-throughput backend systems, at the infrastructure and software levels
  • Keen interest in software architecture and design concepts


  • Go, Python, or Java
  • ScyllaDB, Cassandra, NoSQL databases
  • Amazon AWS services
