Technical Lead.

 

Our client specialises in technology-driven end-to-end solutions designed to assist organisations to transform their approach to energy management and turn energy data into business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be working on state-of-the-art projects incorporating bleeding-edge sensor and communication technologies. You must be capable of understanding complex new systems and concepts. The role will require interaction with senior stakeholders, both business and technical.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive execution of comprehensive, highly effective software for sophisticated new technology for a smart highways project.
  • Work with stakeholders on project plans and decisions.  
  • Coordinate with the client on technical requirements.
  • Lead development team and contribute to the codebase. Given that the bulk of intellectual property development will concern software, it is especially important that the successful candidate can hold their own with the software developers in the team.
  • Travel occasionally to site and meet customers.
  • Rapidly become knowledgeable and capable of contributing meaningfully to discussions regarding customer requirements.

  • Linux platform
  • Embedded Technologies
  • C, Python (Django & Flask)
  • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
  • JavaScript, TypeScript - Angular, Vue or React
  • Proficient with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • MQTT

 Requirements:

  • A degree or masters in a technical discipline such as electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
  • 5+ years development experience
  • Experience in the eMobility, automotive and energy efficiency domains are a distinct plus.
  • Willing and eager to understand smart highways, and related domains such as eMobility and automotive applications.
  • Prior experience in getting to grips with complex new domains.
  • Prior software Architecture experience.
  • Experience in electronics development or manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Demonstratable experience in the design and development of complex technology systems.
  • Technical acumen and gravitas
  • Excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible. 
  • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Fluent in spoken and written English with good communication skills. 

Location:

  • Remote, hybrid or Limerick office-based options. Candidates must be based in Ireland however and available to travel occasionally to work in person with the project team.
