Our client specialises in technology-driven end-to-end solutions designed to assist organisations to transform their approach to energy management and turn energy data into business opportunities.

The successful candidate will be working on state-of-the-art projects incorporating bleeding-edge sensor and communication technologies. You must be capable of understanding complex new systems and concepts. The role will require interaction with senior stakeholders, both business and technical.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and coordinate activities focused on testing full-stack products and systems from Hardware to Cloud.
  • Analyse test data, write and present formal reports on findings.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify required tests
  • Develop and implement a strategy for ensuring test coverage.
  • Ensure test coverage and maintenance of existing automation test suites.
  • Contribute to test and product enhancements as part of continuous improvement.
  • Create and review an assortment of customer-facing documentation. 
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the correct software features are developed and that the correct decisions are made.  
  • Report product issues, bug analysis and investigate to resolution.
  • Create manual and automated test cases and test data.
  • Rapidly become knowledgeable and capable of contributing meaningfully to discussions regarding customer requirements.
  • Test for vulnerabilities and compliance to relevant security standards such as ISO 27001.

Requirements:

  • Willing and eager to understand smart highways, and related domains such as eMobility and automotive.
  • Be able to communicate engineering concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Software experience (writing, editing, debugging scripts, Linux, Shell, Python, C/C++, Docker, network configuration, etc.)
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure)
  • Enterprise software engineering experience including test automation.
  • Proven track record of delivering test automation for highly complex software systems.
  • Prior experience in planning and execution of end-to-end functional and non-functional tests.
  • Prior experience creating and writing technical documentation. 
  • Prior experience in electronics development and/or embedded C will be an advantage.  
  • Experience in the eMobility, automotive and energy efficiency domains are a distinct plus.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent work ethic, dependable and responsible.  
  • Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills.  
  • Fluent in spoken and written English with good communication skills  

Location:

  • Limerick office, hybrid or remote but must be based in Ireland and available to travel occasionally to work with the project team. (The products you will be working on will be non-portable and need testing and characterisation on site)
