About Ronan

Ronan O’Sullivan is Founder and Director of CompuStaff, the West of Ireland’s only specialist IT-recruitment consultancy. Drawing on 25 + years in talent acquisition, he began his career in national agencies before spotting an opening for a dedicated tech practice and launching CompuStaff in 2017
An advocate for skills growth across the region, Ronan represents CompuStaff on the West Regional Skills Forum, bringing real-time employer insight to government-led workforce initiatives for Galway, Mayo and Roscommon.(gov.ie) He also sits on the Next Level Skillnet steering committee, guiding industry-led upskilling programmes for emerging technologies in the Mid-West.(nextlevelskillnet.ie)
Ronan pairs this policy work with hands-on market development. In 2018, he brokered a strategic partnership with Collins McNicholas, extending CompuStaff’s reach while keeping its boutique, high-touch ethos.
He also shares market insights through guest lectures, podcast appearances, and mentoring sessions at the University of Galway and regional networking events.
Academically, he holds a B.Comm. (HR & Marketing), a Higher Diploma in Systems Analysis & Programming, and an MBS—his master’s research on recruitment metrics still shapes his evidence-based hiring approach.
Approachable, data-driven and deeply networked, Ronan balances hard analytics with genuine career coaching—whether guiding graduates into their first software role or helping scale-ups or Multi-Natinals secure critical leadership talent.
